GoPro has just announced a brand new HERO to its action camera family at an annual technology conference. The $200 HERO becomes the most budget-friendly camera in the GoPro lineup, joining the $300 HERO5 and $400 HERO6. It’s a camera that makes “GoPro accessible to all,” the company says.
The HERO has a 2-inch touch display that helps you capture and review 10-megapixel photos and 1080p60 videos. It’s “as easy as using your phone,” GoPro says.
New Budget Friendly GoPro HERO Action Camera Design
The new HERO measures 1.8 x 2.4 x 1.3 inches and weighs 4.2 ounces. As we can see from the images, the action camera has a similar design with HERO6 Black on appearance, and it’s also durable enough to deal with video recording in various tough conditions. Meanwhile, the waterproof design allows it to withstand water immersion up to 33ft (10m) depth without needing an extra waterproof case.
New Budget Friendly GoPro HERO Action Camera Features
The new GoPro HERO supports 1080p video recording at 60fps, and built-in stabilization ensures it always delivers smooth footage even during those intense activities. Furthermore, the action cam supports voice control so that you can control it hands-free with simple voice commands like “GoPro, start recording”, “GoPro, take a photo”, and more.
Moreover, a 2-inch touchscreen lets you review your footage, adjust settings and frame the perfect shot. Built-in WiFi and Bluetooth also allows you to remotely control the camera or share your photos and videos with ease.
